Yes but some discussion is going on behind the scenes. I would not be surprised if some such relief were included when we see the final legislation on Feb 15th.
Schedule A, by definition is an area where lawmakers have sympathy. It is guilt free since their own gov't surveyers are designating those areas as in short supply.
Right now the achiles heel for us is that just mainly India is affected. Hence the focus on this probem to the lawmakers seems like just a an Indian IT guys issue. You heard the good senator Biden's comment about what he felt about that, when he slipped up in Dunkin Donuts. I feel that is at the core of the problem. Hence they see it as a favour for us rather than a competitive benefit to this country.

My wife called Air France and France's Atlanta consulate. She will be requiring Airport Transit Visa B.
She will have to mail her original and one copy of passport and I 20 form with $ 86 Visa fee for Airport Transit Visa and an Express mail self address envelope.
Also Air France is going charge $ 50 each for extra bag after first (I received a mail about baggage fee after booking my ticket).
I will never again travel with Air France, British Airway and Lufthance even after geting GC. Today these three airlines lost a customer for life.
These three airlines don't need desi's business.:mad:

The day I applied that day the PD was current.
PD should be current at the date of approval too. If it's current now you can get decision in couple of weeks, if PD is not current - just forget about checking that dates.
Also that date is showing as 19 july 2007.It means that majority of applications filed before that date and with current PD and necessary checks completed are with adjudicating officers.

Does that mean we are no more after the goal of I-485 provision (attached to appropriation bills in Feb) due to lack of contributions? There has been several posts even in other forums saying that IV has dropped this goal, and I tried quite a few times now to get some form of confirmation/denial from any of the core members, but without any luck yet. Also logiclife's announcement was removed from the home page!!

I know a friend in the exact same boat.. A very big multi-national co. with more than 10K employees.. they are even revoking his EB3 that was filed in 2004.. It's not USCIS rule.. it's just some employers being strict with their internal rules..
Unless you work for a big company with lots of benefits.. time to get EB3 filed.. and then bolt the first chance you get..

There is no grace period for finding a new h1b employer - but generally USCIS overlooks gaps of 1-2 months between employment assuming you are able to transfer your H1B to another employer soon

Hi everyone,
I have a related question. I am a canadian citizen now and am still maintaining an H1b. My H1b stamp had expired in 2007 though.
I had applied for AP in january but its still pending at NSC.
Now I have to go to India for my brother's marriage.
My question to you all is-Since I am still on H1B (and If am not wrong, canadian citizens do not require H1B stamps)-- will it be ok if I travel without an AP.

We live in business world. Bright Companies pay salary at bad economic times to retain skilled employees. Desi companies pay more even during bench to retain employees, american companies dont and lay them off. That is precicly the reason desi companies succeed.

On the other hand he has said
"Commonsense is the realised sense of proportion".

For parents I am not comfortable with the statement "and that________father�s name) is his/her father and _____________ (mother�s name) is his/her mother."
So just dig a little and there were members who have posted the sample for parents and close relative.

Affidavit does not have a unique format identified by INS, hence different attorneys may have different layouts.
