Alright guys, Here's the last post, after which we strayed....lets either snap any discussions on this thread or continue to post only on the original content of the thread....

As I thought about this further, I figured out the data is even worse than I thought earlier, as this may not have any 2007 numbers. People who filed their labors in 2007 were still waiting in july of 2007. So this data is only upto late 2006. Now the figures could be.

I like majority of others who came here on H1 with genunine intent of settling down should work toward common goal of easier GC processing and not support outsourcing idiots esp L1s who is nothing but shipping jobs overseas and making a field (eg IT) minimum wage pay. Just look around how much TCS pay .
COmmon goal of us is easier and humane green card processing and to work towards the goal to stop blatant abuses in the form of L1 (and some H1 )

When I called Lucille Raybal Allard's office last week, a rep from the office had an extensive conversation with me about both the bills and they have not heard about them before. He recognized me when I called him back to check if they made a decision.

Money does not get every thing done. Corp America is doing everything they can to get H1B numbers increased. Do you think they are being stingy with the money they need to spend? They have stronger opposing grass roots groups like Numbers USA, FAIR etc. Our issue is a lot less volatile compared to the H1B increase issue. How ever our issue is unknown to many lawmakers until recently. I am positive that some members came to know about the bills when we called them or have been approached by our state chapters.

In other words, the Constitution does not specifically mention immigration but based on the above, delegates power to the Congress to pass laws to regulate immigration. Your auto insurance company are the best people to talk to right now initially. They can provide excellent legal advice for which you have paid in your premiums.
The amount is extortionate and as long as you do not ignore this it can be resolved I am sure. In all honesty it sounds as if they thought hey we only have two years to sue so lets do it now so it does not look as if we waited till the last minute. Otherwise why would they wait so long to file the claim. Herniated discs do not appear at a later date they are a thing of the present, i.e. at the time of impact.
With regard to your green card I cannot imagine it will have any impact at all. You have not committed any crime, you had an auto accident. These happen every day to thousands of green card holders and applicants and if they resulted in deportations the immigrant community would probably be aware of them.

mine belongs to NSC..I read in another thread that the FP will expire every 15 months and that may be the reason why most of the July filers are getting FP notice again...

Now i got another fingerprint. My service center is also NSC. There is some thing going on, i dont know why they are sending multiple fingerprints.

Not all professions can apply for H1Bs. You need to have specific skills that the US does NOT have. Someone on here had once posted that his wife could not work as a teacher although the school was ready to offer her a job, coz there is no H1B category for teachers. The H1B visa cannot help spouses in all professions. Hence my suggestion.
About how this will solve retrogression, IT WONT. My point is instead of trying to bring this retrogression beast down, maybe we should look at alternatives to work around it.
If it is not the skill that US does not have then what argument are we going to give to lawmakers for asking for such a provision ?
You need to restart ur GC process but you can keep ur PD (if not revoked) and get a 3 year extension immediately based on the Approved I-140.

With the attitude towards immigration in this country, i really doubt this bill will pass :(, i really hope it does though, i think the USICS is a strong believer of "sabar ka phal meeta hota hai", translated, the fruit of a long wait is sweet, i just hope the wait is not too long and the fruit rotten

I am seriously thinking of PMP. If I don't do that I think I will have nothing to show even if I do get GC (which seems unlikely at the moment).
somegchuh..yeah...let's go get ourself a PMP cert???? Maybe we (and others who are interested) can start a PMP study group and get it done soon!!! Then by the time we all get our GC, we can work as a PM making at least 150K a year? Sounds good??? :D (sigh..trying to humor myself in such depressing moment!)

I mostly get reds for being honest and stating the facts but that doesnt matter. I have to agree with Nathan, dont get emotional, lets see how to get out of this mess. As you stated, your employer didnt invite you, the only thing he should have done that he didnt do was recalled your petition when it became effective. He will get away with a warning and a small fine unless he has done the same as a pattern.
You can get him in real trouble, (of course but only by doing damage to yourself) by proving you paid the money for the H-1 and I sure here too, you would have given him a check and he would have given a company check to USCIS and you are going to make life more difficult for you than for him as proving you paid the money for the petitionis going to be very difficult.
This is the time to sit back and think what is your real goal. I guess, it was to come here and work hard and succeed not make life miserable for everyone involved. Trust me Honey attracts more flies than vinegar. Speak to your employers softly and try to find a solution. If you need help finding a job, I am sure there are plenty of avenues, especially with the market improving.
Now dont jump into conclusions, that I am another consultant or work for a consultant. I am neither.
