Online application usually warrants a fingerprinting , it's best to apply in paper if that needs to be avoided.

You can write a balance-transfer-cheque to your own name (which you can deposit to your checkings account) of amount upto your credit limit on that credit card.
I had 25k credit limit on my credit card, so i could balance-transfer that much. usually if you have a 3-4 years credit history, you can call up the credit card company and ask them to raise your credit limit.
Balance transfers - 0% APR are generally good for 9 months to 1 year loan only. So you will have to repay within a year. But you can keep doing that for 2-3 years till you pay off your complete loan.

I'm in a position where I have to file for I-140 again. In short, my company was purchased and I had to refile I-140 under the new company's name. Since the new company does not pay for Premium processing, I'll have to shell out the Premium processing fee from my pocket.
I need your honest opinion as to whether I must file with premium or regular? My PD: is June 2007.

Yes, only if approved I-140 is not withdrawn or canceled before new I-140 approval.
If you are in AC21 safety net then you can recapture PD (after 180 days of 1-485 filing) even if your initial sponsoring employer withdraws his initial I-140.:o
once I-140 approved then that PD is locked for you , you can port that date with your new I-140 filing. no need to file 485 and wait for 6 months, this only for Ac-21 porting with new employer.

I also have two I-485s pending. I contacted the attorneys about this and they said not to do anything with them. Let USCIS deny one of those when time comes. Sending any sort of communication to USCIS might cause more confusion than necessary. I hope that helps.

Is there something we can do to avoid this PIMS delay.......

Thanks to everyone for taking an active role in the funding drive. It is always a frustrating experience every time we want to raise funds. In our overzealousness sometimes we also hurt the effort by being too harsh on people who are not contributing. We do not wish to encourage any finger pointing. Members start asking all kinds of questions on the forum and kill the initiative thereby hurting the organization and ultimately themselves. At this time we are no longer going to ask for funds on the forum and will continue the IV effort with what we have from the contributions members have made. Members who feel they wish to contribute will contribute if they feel for the cause in their heart. Admins have decided to close all such threads so that we can focus on the other IV work rather than solving disputes between members and making sure no anonymous member is hurting other anonymous member�s feelings.

They will apply for H1 again in 2010, but good news is you will not be in 65k cap.
They can apply anytime and get a fresh H1.

When my AP came up for renewal my attorney asked to get new set of photos.
In addition my cousin's EAD application got RFE'ed to get new set of photos even though the photos were recent. The reason given was that they had used same photos to renew their visa few months back (less than 6 months).
Is USCIS coming up some new rule about photos being 'unused' ?? The guidelines say that photos should be recent (taken in last 6 months). However nowhere I do I see that the photos should be 'unused' previously ?
Anyone else had same experience ?

You may already be knowing this. But a note of caution, after hearing few horror stories on H4 going out of status involuntarily.
Extension of renewal on H1 does not mean H4 is automatically renewed. Your new H1b is valid until 2009. Unless you have filed I-539 along with your H1b renewal application, your wife is not going to get new I-94. So if her I-94 is expiring december 2007, she will be out of status after that date, not withstanding your H1B validiity.
It doesnt matter if her visa stamp has your latest employer listed. The single most important thing that will determine her legal status is the validity of I-94 stamp

There is no AP card or an approval notice. When they send the approval notice, they mean the actual AP papers - which is a 1-page document.
They send 2 copies of that.
Like an earlier post said, you can take Infopass and/or call customer service no.
My AP was approved on April 27 and I got it in the mail on 05/03.

I would say EB3 March 2005. Remember, after PERM was put into place in early 2005 more people applied in EB2 than in EB3. I am not an expert, please consult your attorney.
