Folks,
NSC and TSC are still processing the mid june filers cases. Please see the below link. They are slow in issuing receipts. The date you are seeing is notice dates. The receipt date are june or prior to that.

what do they mean with "USCIS expects to provide in time-compliance for receipting of form types listed below:" and then lists the date 7/18/07 for I-485 in Nebraska Service Centre.
I filed my I-485 on 06/25/07 (my PD is March 04). I have not yet received any confirmation, receipt or anything else from my application. I just hope that my application did not end up with the July applications.

Any response to that ? My wife's EAD is expiring on Oct 22nd , I have e-filed for her EAD renewal , got the receipt and the FP notice promptly, but after Sep 03 FP, no status update and I have seen people applying after me ( paper filed ) getting CPO emails :( , so can she work on the receipt or not ? any pointers ?
Just to add, her EAD renewal is pending at NSC but the FP notice came from MSC, hope NSC can access the biometrics from MSC ( heard some cases where once center could not access the other center's biometrics )

Thats it. This post is the final nail in the coffin :). These soft LUDs mean nothing. Confirmed!!! Thanx for sharing this info and n'joy ur green.
Been saying that since morning, the whole purpose of this thread was so others dont get the sudden adrenaline rush on seeing the LUD.
It took the whole day,and people still dont get it, and I get a red spot from someone claiming this is an unnecessary thread!!.
Heck, we are all waiting for the 485 processing to happen,without any visibility,so, any info, we get , we lap it up.
But, again ,like I said in the morning, this thread needs to be closed for replies and open just so, others can know that the sunday LUD was meaningless in the context of PD being current

Generally it is little difficult to sponsor a GC through one's own business. USCIS wants to know if it is a legitimate business, with revenues, employees, contracts etc

Thank you for the very helpful information. This is exactly what I plan to do unless the IO at the port-of-entry specifically asks for the travel doc. I sure hope that it doesn't come to that because I don't want to use the travel doc.
When we have traveled to Matamoros, MX for stamping we had AP and H1/H4. On return we have used H1/H4. NO questions asked at the border check post.

You need to always hand over your I94; whether it is expired or not. When you re-enter into this country you will be issued I94 based on either your h1b or AP or what ever visa you might have that is effective at the time ...

I was not aware that EB3 were getting over regular allotment....but porting is the only way i see people getting the GC in a reasonable time-frame if you are stuck in EB3 queue :cool:
An analogy would be to compare porting to the HOV traffic lane. If you qualify, do port and you would get to your destination faster. It is perfectly legal too and no one should be complaining about people porting if they qualify for it.

Hi,
My company has applied for my wife's L1B to L2 conversion on 28-OCT-2008 at Vermont Service Center. Anyone knows how much time typically it takes for this request?
When we are checking USCIS website, we are getting the following message continuously. My wife called to USCIS and USCIS said, case status is valid only in the system and the person does not know why that error message is coming.
"Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, you can either call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283, or you can send an e-mail to uscis.webmaster@dhs.gov."
We are thinking that probably lots of applications are pending and that could be the reason. Once they pick up, it will be changed to Case received and pending and finally a decision will come.
Do you know if this is something we need to worry about that something might be wrong which might cause a long delay? Actually my wife is pregnant and she can travel back by air only till January 15th, 2008 at the maximum. So we are just worried.
Do you know how much time it takes normally for this sort of application too? Also if at all, a rejection comes, will there be any legal way she can stay back till couple of months as she will not be able to travel back that time?
