Here are my case details as well.
Came to US in Aug 1999 on F-1 after B.Tech. Graduated with MS (Telecom) in Dec 2000. Joined a major telecom firm immediately after graduation. My first EB-3 labor was filed in Dec 2001 (Non-RIR) but employer withdrew it because of lay-offs. Employer filed again in Nov'03 (Non-RIR again) and it was approved in March 2007 (after RIR conversion in Jan 2007) by Dallas BEC, followed by I-140 approval (March 2007) and I-485 filing in July 2007. Though my job required a MS degree, my employer could not file in EB-2 as there were people in my team with just Bachelors degree when they joined the company 10-15 yrs ago and lawyer did not advise employer to file in EB-2 as EB-3 was current those days......After surviving 12 rounds of lay-offs, no job security whatsoever throughout and fed up with EB3 process, I changed jobs after 8.5 yrs (July 2009) and my new job required a minimum of MS + 6 yrs of experience and fortunately my new employer (another large company) had no issues re-starting the process again. I work in Mobile Communications R&D (developing networks which support smart phones (2G/3G and now 4G-LTE technology) have been in this field since Jan 2001) and here are my EB-2 case details:
Joined new employer in July 2009
PERM Prep work took 6 months
EB2 PERM filed: March 30th, 2010 (MS + 6 yrs or BS + 8 yrs as min requirements)
EB2 PERM approved: Aug 11th, 2010
EB2 I-140 filed: Aug 27th, 2010 (Premium Processing, EB3 I-140 approval copy enclosed with request to Port EB3 PD)
EB2 I-140 and I-485 approved concurrently on Sep 3rd, 2010
Cards received Sep 7th, 2010

Sadly, your ambitions are noble, but its a cruel world out there ... we can give a guestimate ... but no estimate ....and that too just to throw off the other side either way ... either to think that we are way ahead or to think that we are waaaaaaay behind ..... let them wrack their brains and use a calculator and some of their not-so-cheap-labor-math skills to find out where we are at for a change
.... you have to be couple of steps ahead ... always .... thats the way we ALL got here in the first place :)
Maybe I am being naive. But we are not a political organization. I sure do hope we are not. We should be open, clear and precise about our goals and our funding sources/drives. Frankly our opponents pump in millions of dollars into their effort. Maybe one of these days we can compete with them monetarily. But all I know is they can get millions of dollars but not 25000 committed members.
Hence IMHO we disclose our goals. We disclose our costs up front. We have nothing to hide.

So do you think they are going after AC21 folks as a scapegoat? I spoke to few people on this including lawyers and they say that "denials on 485" when 140 gets revoked is a common thing and usually the officer who issues the denial letter does not check and verify to see other details. Thats why they have to go through the MTR process.
Although, UN seems to suspect that there might be more beneath the surface here.
What still beats me is that if the 140 had problems, why would they even bother requesting for AC21 evidence and not just deny the 485 in the first place.
Unless..., when the 140 got revoked they realized that it had been more than a 180 days since the 485 was filed, and gave the applicant the benefit of doubt and asked for a new EVL, but while the applicant was in the process of replying to the NOID, they did some more digging, found that the underlying approved 140 had ability to pay (or other) issues and then denied the 485 on that basis.

FOR ALL THOSE WHO VOTED YES - IF WE HAVE ENOUGH NUMBERS WE CAN CHARTER A A380 OR TWO DREAMLINERS ONE FROM THE EAST COAST AND ONE FROM THE WEST COAST WITH STOPS IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES TO DROP OFF PEOPLE. IT HELPS US, AIRBUS/BOEING AND THE "NO" SAYERS WAITING FOR THEIR GC'S. THIS WOULD BE FOR SURE A BIG EVENT IN THE HISTORY.

i know its pretty lame, but what i would really like would be a regular black ipod, and i dont mean that u2 crap, with the wierd red and signatures on the back.

I have earlier contacted Atlas to verify if they are registered with any state's Department of Insurance. They did not even reply.
IMO, it is better to buy an Indian Insurance. For American insurance, the only way to make them pay is go to court against them but with Indian Insurance, you can lodge claim with Insurance Ombudsman in India which is fast and effective. The only flip side is, US medical facilities might not recognize Indian insurance (though most Indian insurance collaborate with US insurance for claim processing)

I have tried to put my career goals ahead of the dollar conversion rate (not always easy). Because i took up new roles and salary , i have had to restart the GC process a couple of times. As a result i am still without GC despite being here for more than 10 years and having two masters degrees from US. I am sure this is a common story here.
I am heading towards a another change and now have very little patience for restarting the process. I am glad many people on this forum have volunteered to help pack. I will be getting in touch with you in a few months.
That there are frustrated people with opportunities outside the US, and they will leave. This is a great example. However this is still a silly poll. It does not ask questions that will bring that out. It talks about leaving to prove something to someone. People did not come here to prove things to the US and will not leave for that reason.
On another note I heard this was an activist organization. A peek at the threads shows a lot of whining and complaining about being asked to be active. maybe I heard wrong.

First they will process the applications which are cleared FP based on PD and receipt date. Always risk is there when filing without marriage. You are safe till USCIS starts process your application. When they take your application for processing then you cannot add your spouse. Also if CIR decides to process backlogs faster then also you will be in problem. Best option is if your marriage is already fixed do it within 3 months and file GC before PD is backdated. You need not file July first. You can wait till Jul15 to see next VB and decide.

Your posts along with alterego, kabmilegaGC and others ..were quite helpful. Ironically, in the entire time, since GC process began , it is only last 2 months that were most stressful but rest of the time, I didn't even care when dates will become current etc.etc..was just going with flow. I wouldn't want to repeat time from Aug 10th to Nov 2nd.--just waiting, waiting and waiting..and nothing happening.
If USCIS becomes more transparent and follows FIFO strictly.then that itself will give lot of relief to waiting applicants.

I did paid consultation to find answer to this question with murthy office. As per them, one can do transfer and extension of H1B even after using AP as long as the current I-797 is still valid.

Fight for truth is a difficult thing but when fought with full enthu you will see the results(what ever they might be something positive).
I don't know what this petition is going to do. Atleast it will convey to CNN top brass that there are people out there who won't tolerate such lies. Maybe it won't do anything now but we must continue our efforts and oppose such false propagation of information whenever we can.

And do not think that IV is sitting on that 80-81k kitty.
There are bills being paid out of that collected money. The biggest bill, I think, would be QGA.
Hence to keep the momentum, we have to have more contributions coming in.
One surest way to keep the stream flowing is to get more members.
If we think that we represent 350-400 K people stuch in GC process, we need to find and reach them, make them aware of what IV is doing and encourage them to join and contribute the time, efforts and money.
