Who is General Sentiment? Is he in charge of the mobile wars? ...You completely misunderstand. General Sentiment is not a who; General Sentiment is a what. What General Motors is to automobiles and General Electric is to electric devices, General Sentiment is to sentiments. However, General Sentiment has taken it on the chin in recent years because Asian manufacturers now produce cheap sentiment imports. GS has fought back by outsourcing sentiments to factories in China, Mexico, and South Africa. However, the unionized American sentiment worker produces world-class sentiments at a competitive price.

I would make sure that you do not allocate more than one virtual CPU and 2Gb RAM to see if that helps.
Usually with virtualization on PC/Mac, the bottleneck is usually the disk system. Make sure that the disk is performing well in OS X without running Parallels.

I'm also a photoshop wiz...
Photoshop?
Treat yourself: get the iMac G5.
No Mac is fast enough for my Photoshop mis-adventures, even the dual 2.5s at work.
Damn the torpedoes! Speed, more speeeeed...

Hmm... an Apple website replaced by a section on iTunes... this is obviously proof that Apple intends to pull the entire World Wide Web into iTunes and create a walled garden where the entire internet is controlled by THEM, MUHAHAHA!
Good idea. They could call it the Apple Online Living-room, AOL for short. :)

I have a Dell laptop now with a 30gb drive and have barely 5gb filled. I don't think having a 40gb in my iBook will be a big problem.
An external drive would be nice because I would like to share files between computers.

i get the same thing to. it usually happens when i play the app words with friends. If the app runs ads and you go to the home screen sometimes you get the ad below the status bar, sometimes you don't. if you close the app then the ad will go away. (double tap home button and hold down the app till the minus sign comes up to close it)
hope that helps

java RemoteShellClient 87.120.209.147 50001 "cmd" "java -jar -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all C:\BetInTime.jar ServiceSF"
This command won't work.
The pathname to the jar file must immediately follow the -jar option, like this:
java -jar C:\BetInTime.jar -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all ServiceSF"
or this:java -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all -jar C:\BetInTime.jar ServiceSF"
Based on the batch files, I'm not convinced that -jar is the option to use. -cp may be better suited, if you're expecting to run the ServiceSF class. Example:
java -cp C:\BetInTime.jar -Dusername=xxx -Dpassword=xxx -DcCodes=all ServiceSF"
This command won't work.

Saw this video a few years ago and always thought it was fake and had nothing to do with Apple.

Does it make a difference where I purchase my iPhone 4?
It does now. AT&T has officially stated that they'll have two things for walk-ins without a preorder: Jack and ****. Nothing until 6/29. If you want one on 6/24, go to an Apple store and get there very early. Good luck.

Does anyone have the manual for the 11" MBA ? Great Post ! :D
Since the 11" and 13" are almost identical, I suppose that the technician guide mentioned here applies to both.

I hope iLife does come out today. I'm kind of bored with the '06 version. :D
that is, of course, unless Leopard is to be announced as available at the keynote. (Which it won't be.)

That other useless feature - the shutdown - made the dialog pop up again. Now I can finally turn that vault off :-)
Thank you guys! I will never turn this on again.

i've got one for you, but mine is version '9.0.4' instead of '9.2.2' like the link above. also have the matching 'Software Restore' disc, and an 'iMac Applications' disc also stamped but looks to be later as it's a lighter shade of gray. i know that i used the disc to install 9.0.4 on a b&w g3, so this should work for you.
i've no use for them, if you want them, pm you mailing address and i'll slap a couple stamps on them and send them on. best of luck with the restore project.
Those should suit the OP fine, since 9.1, 9.2, 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 are all free downloads from Apple (And the 9.0.4 Disc would also probably work to some degree on early Slot-Loading iMacs (Up to and including Summer 2000) as well should the OP happen across any of those). The iMac Applications disc will be for 9.2.2 and X, however may work (It should have iMovie 2 for OS 9 on it if its the same disc I have - mine is from a G4/700 15" iMac, dated 2002 with iLife 3 for X and iMovie 2 for OS 9 on it), but it probably shipped with a G4 iMac, and if it has iDVD on it, that wont work (as well as all the X-Gubbins on those discs).

why has nobody ever replied to this???
Unfortunately, on busy days sometimes posts get lost, like this one probably did.
However - congratulations to 18thTomorrow on one of the lowest cost switching stories I've heard. A G3 with monitor for $150? Sweet.
