Paragon NTFS (http://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/) is a program you can use to natively read and write to NTFS formatted drives with Mac OSX. I use it for a recent external drive I bought and it works great.
However, you need to figure out what your ultimate goal is for your files. Do you want to migrate everything over to a Mac file system or do you need to be able to go back and forth between OSX and Windows with your data? If you are not going to be using Windows anymore then I would back up your data, reformat your drive to a Mac OS read/write format and they put your files back on the newly fomatted drive. If you need to access your data on both Mac and PC then I would use the Paragon NTFS software that I've suggested.

I am very surprised that your parents policy does not cover yours- if you are family and living there it should, but again every policy is different. So you might see if it is cheaper to just add your stuff to their policy if their company allows it.

I've been carefully monitoring the processor loads on my c2d macbook (the black one) to see what kind of processor I would be needing if I buy an air. The decision is really between the 1.86 and 2.13
My loads are:
1.03 .93. 87
These are with chrome and itunes and terminal running along with ical and the likes. nothing too heavy.
Any advice on which processor?

Paolo,
Thank you for your reply. I did everything you suggested-again and even wrote it all down so I could try permutations. Bottom line, it will recognize the guitar input but not a microphone n:confused:or my two keyboards. I have the unit with me today ready to return to B&H. appreciate your help!

You missed the real story -- in the release notes Apple explain that they're deprecating the Apple maintained version of Java:
http://www.infoq.com/news/2010/10/apple-deprecates-java
Apple have provided a mechanism for installing 3rd party JDKs (in particular OpenJDK), but it likely won't work with current versions of Java IDEs (Netbeans, Eclipse etc) until they're updated to work with the new paths.
I wonder if this is anything to do with Oralce?

Most likely, the buyer will send you back a Core 2 Duo machine and keep your i5. Did you jot down the serial number with pictures before you sent the computer to him/her?

That's one thing I really hate about apple. Once a new revision comes out, if you have a problem with the previous generation product you may as well forget about it ever getting fixed.
There are an awful lot of examples that would say otherwise.
For a start I would mention the hard drive replacement program for the white MacBooks which are 3/4 years old. Then there was the update to fix the audio issue with the 2009 Mac Pro's.
Would you care to give examples of these problems which have been ignored?

Without wishing to breach the piracy regs on MR have you considered changing the firmware on your PSP to an open version? Then you can stick all your legally owned games onto your memory stick and switch between them when you get bored. Saves carrying around a load of UMDs, or you can stick ripped films on there.
Feel free to delete if this breaches any rules :)

And not only Excel, but to 100% guarantee things look the same, you need to use the PC version (if you're dealing with PC customers) and you need to make sure you use a font that they have, the same screen resolution they are running, etc.
That's a good point. I have no problems myself, but it's not 'mission critical' stuff where I'm emailing reports to customers, etc. I have a Mac and my co-workers have PC's, and we have had no problems with inter-office compatibility.

I have a 250gb Porche design and it's nice. I hasn't failed. It hums a little, and it spools down when I unmount the drive from the OS. I really don't get what all the design kudos are for it. It has a shiny front, and is pretty much a rectangle. I like SilverKeeper, the backup software that comes with it. Careful with what you choose to exclude during the backup.

Did you try googling the obvious: palindrome python program
One of the top 10 hits is this:

For sammysam52, the OP in that thread posted code and solved their own problem with a gentle nudge.
What is your approach?

Quality would be ok for decent frame rates. The higher the res, the lower the frame rates and the 27" iMac has a very high res. My son runs battlefield on his 2007 iMac, just barely. New ones should be much better.

Apple has for a long time had HP scanners and cameras on their site--Ya know the company that sells the "e pcs." I don't this as being a lot different. I'm sure if Dell decided to get into the mp3 player market they'd dump the ipod and if Apple makes an icam, we'll see some things fly off of their pages. As it stands Dell is not only boosting Apple, but themselves by letting their potential customers know that their computers work with the worlds finest mp3 player. right? maybe

Are you sure your computer isn't saying "Could not load MySpace, Reason: It's for 13 year old losers."? ;)
I'm sorry, I can't stand that site.

I love my G5 PowerPC- works beautifully, but I'm looking to upgrade from the PowerPC chip set to an Intel set, since it appears the software people don't want to support it anymore. I want to know if I can cannibalize my old Power Mac- just install the hard drives and memory into a couple of Intel Mac Pros that I'm looking at. Bottom line: are the memory and hard drives compatible?

Radeon Mobility X1600 (http://www.channelregister.co.uk/2005/12/06/ati_unveils_mobility_radeon_x1600/)
Not sure this is the correct place for this: Mods feel free to move it!
Given that Apple seem to favour ATI chips for their high-end laptops I think that this is quite an interesting announcement. We may well see this chip in future PowerBooks. What is really interesting about this chip is that is supports Avivo.
What is so interesting about Avivo? Avivo supports hardware H.264 (http://www.ati.com/technology/h264.html) decode acceleration. This could mean that next-generation PowerBooks can decode full 1080p HD content. Probably at under 50% CPU usage.

I have a nasty little ie6 problem that has me perplexed to the cause. Every time i click on a input box be it the search one or ether of the 2 in the login area in ie6 it just highlights the input box as if it is active.
I have tired turning off javascript but this did not help so i assume it can't be a javascript issue. And disabling the stylesheet also had no joy so i can only assume i have messed up basic html.
