I have a crop camera and I know it is 1.6x factor on EF. therefore a ef 50mm = 80mm.
now here is where I do not understand:
on a EF-S lens is the crop factor still 1.6x the lens value so a ef-s 65mm is really 117mm.
I just trying to understand what the benefit of crop camera lenses are if the lens has the same focal length as a EF lens.

EF-S 10-22mm is the same focal lens as a EF 16-24L lens, why produce a lens EF-S, when on a crop camera you could just add a EF 16-24mm L lens (other than cost).

Hm, that pretty much sounds the same as the difference between conservatives and liberals in the US for the most part. Hope they don't try to take away your universal health care!
The Conservatives are for some privatization, or as they call it "alternative delivery", but I doubt the population will allow them to completely privatize healthcare. Normally I'm for a smaller government, but when it comes to healthcare you can only either trust the corporations who make lots of money off of you when you're sick, or you can trust the government. In this case I trust the government a lot more.

I have been at legacy since 7:30. They set up where the lines would go abOut an hour ago. Quite a few people have shuffled in and out of the store but no one is lined up outside. I'll just have to keep waiting.

Computers and phones isn't the same thing. I could see them doing it with the iPad since its a computer but I honestly can't see them doing it with the iPhone. Might they change the size of the screen for the next iPhone? Yes. Will they sell two models with different screen sizes? No.
I think that apple's past success in expanding their ranges, specifically with iPods, has been their ability to market different models slightly differently. Look at the ipod mini, essentially the same as the original iPod, only smaller, but marketed as a cool new apple product in different colours that is more affordable. I don't see any reason why this strategy cannot be applied to phones. They wouldn't really have to do very much at all for this to work apart from make a good quality product. New apple product = hype = sales. I think that this is more true now than it ever has been.

Yeah, tell me about it (looks down at my Quad). But honestly, I think it will suck even more for Adobe, as they are really limiting themselves in the market that they can reach. Come on Adobe, it wouldn't be THAT hard to code according to Apple's Universal standards, would it?
Then again, they may be trying to go for the optimal performance possible. I blogged about this a while ago (http://web.mac.com/longofest/iWeb/Blog%20Corner/Tech%20Fest/09B771A2-EF7E-4BD7-8172-9CB5E15A06EE.html), and how Universal Binaries using the Accelerate framework may not always give you all the performance options available to a program.

You could get a beta key by pre-ordering the game at Game Stop. Although at this point I would confirm before doing it since the Beta won't be lasting too much longer. When I log in it says something about it expiring June 21st. So maybe they aren't giving keys anymore. If you did it in-store it printed on your receipt. Online they were supposed to e-mail it to you within a day.From what I understand they stopped giving out keys on the 17th of May.

Had tea split over the keyboard; however it works fine except for two issues.
1. The computer thinks the shift key is pressed and starts osx in safe mode and anything you type is in shift mode, i.e. capitals and !"�$%^ instead of 12345 etc, but the strange thing is Ubuntu ignores this, so the left shift key doesn't work but the rest does and you can type normally.
2. When the computer goes to sleep either in OSX or Ubuntu it does not wake up whatever key/touch pad you press - however if you do press the power button for a few seconds it powers off, and when you turn it back on OSX starts after a sort of recovery back to the desktop, however Ubuntu doesn't.
Also after the spill it wasn't turned on for more than a day and was left to dry upside down.
Any ideas what to do next - especially regarding the shift key issue?

that sounds cool and a decent processor to replace my old amd k6-2 running laptop...8th gen laptop is what i would want but i will wait it out like i do with all gear until it is reasonable to buy

If you add friends and family only then shouldn't be a problem. If it is then you need to pick your friends more carefully and family you associate with.
